Canadian Teens Convicted for Microwaving Family's Cat as Christmas 'Gift' |
2008-09-06 |
This is how Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, and many similar celebrities got their start. Two Canadian teens were handed a year's probation for trashing a home while the owners were on vacation, and leaving behind a nasty present, according to the Globe and Mail. A year? A farking year! Neutering with a cat o' nine tails would be more appropriate. Among the $10,000 in damages was writing scrawled on the kitchen window and cabinets: "You had a nice cat" and "it's in the microwave." Princess, the cat, "was screaming in the microwave for 10 minutes while it was essentially cooked to death," Prosecutor John Laluk reportedly told the court. One of these devils was already in trouble for setting his little brother on fire. The two 16-year-old boys from Camrose, Alberta, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering, theft and causing pain to an animal. Both were sentenced to 100 hours of community service and one had to give up his family dog, the newspaper reported. ...but not his brother, I guess. Outside the court Thursday, protesters carried signs demanding "Justice for Princess." Three others are facing charges in relation to the crime. Maybe these protestors should borrow a page from those Pakistani vigilantes we read about the other day. |

#12 Place them in a wooden shack, nail their doinkers to wooden table that is bolted to the floor. Set the shack on fire, hand them a knife and walk out. |

#11 Ed: "Is that a Singapore crime deterrence poster or a San Fran dungeon ad?" Better ask San Fran Nan. I heard she (or more likely her staff) was answering questions on digg or some such thing.. |

#8 Five years working in animal shelters 10 hours a week. If they don't get good reports it becomes ten years. |

#7 Take them into the woods. Handcuff them and chain them to a tree with a legtrap. Just leave them. |

#5 I think my punishment would be harsher. Force both boys to undergo years of psychotherapy and social reprogramming by smarmy, manipulative psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, social workers, etc., until they are reduced to quivering piles of heavily medicated shiat. It would be worse than living in a sensory deprivation tank for years. |

#4 This is what happens when the death penalty's taken entirely off the table. Noooo...not saying that these beasts deserve that @ this point, but the next thing happens is the "civil liberties" crew starts bleating that LWOP is cruel and unusual punishment, then the barriers keep falling until you wind up with a pack of apprentice maniacs getting little more than a stern lecture. Probably without finger-wagging from the magistrate - that might have been seen as excesslve... |

#3 Those kids are seriously disturbed. You'll be hearing about them again some day. |

#2 A year doesn't sound right. I think ten minutes in a microwave for each boy is more appropriate. |
