| Somali official gunned down in Baidoa |

| A Somali Transitional Federal Government official and two of his guards have been gunned down by four masked men in the town of Baidoa. Eyewitnesses told Press TV correspondent that the TFG official and his escorts were attacked on Monday by unidentified gunmen who then fled the scene taking the guards' weapons with them. The small southwestern Somali town is quiet now, with markets and businesses shut down in the wake of the violence. |
