#6 I say pave the damn place and turn it into parking for EuroDisney. You will need shuttle buses, of course. |

#5 Huh, the article I read left him unnamed. Has the press started leaving them unnamed as a practice now? Not as though it would further deteriorate our faith in them or anything. |

#4 I would love to give them freedom, I just think it's such an uphill battle that America wouldn't be in it for the long haul which is why I suggested one of "our bastards" yesterday. Another course nobody has talked about is just talking to the neighbors and dividing Afghanistan up by ethnic group. The threat alone, and the destabilizing effect it would have on Iran and Pakistan might get some people to stop the nonsense. |

#2 An unnamed senior official just recommended we find a "suitable dictator", put him in, and split. I think we should give them the opportunity for freedom, which we have, but if they'd rather have the Taliwackers or a despot, they should get it. If they'd rather live with a tyrant who keeps them under his boot, what can we do to help them? They seem bitterly opposed to prosperity, and you can't whip it into them with all the rawhide in Texas. |
