| #2 8,000 cousins? Yeah, I've got barely 8,000 Thorn/Thorne 'cousins', and that's after almost FOUR CENTURIES of frontier-style f'huge families. Somebody's counting the sort of relation which bears more resemblance to 'Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon' than to proper genealogy. Reading closer, it sounds as if one of Obama's third or second twice removed cousins married into this Bedouin tribe back in the thirties. Which in and of itself sounds kind of dodgy. Isn't this what Arabic-style cousin marriage is designed to avoid? |
