| Nawaz urges India to share evidence in Mumbai attacks |

| Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday urged India to share with Pakistan all available evidence concerning the Mumbai terrorist attacks and accept Pakistani government's offer of co-operation. He said this while talking to Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt who called on him at the Punjab House. While discussing regional peace with special reference to Afghanistan and the recent terrorist attacks in Mumbai, Sharif stressed that Pakistan wished to co-operate with both the neighbouring countries to establish peace and stability in the region, a statement issued after the meeting said. Sharif said Pakistan was itself suffering from terrorism on the economic and security fronts for many years. The Swedish foreign minister congratulated the people of Pakistan on the restoration of democracy and appreciated the role of the PML-N in upholding the supremacy of the constitution. He said the Swedish people and government would always support the democratic process and rule of law in Pakistan. Nawaz lauded the democratic institutions in Sweden and appreciated the country's enormous support for Pakistan's socio-economic and commercial spheres. |
