Mice overrun Florida courthouse |
2009-02-24 |
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - There are so many mice in one Florida county courthouse that they've been seen falling from ceiling tiles. (Insert lawyer joke here.) One judge at the Palm Beach County Courthouse calls it an infestation. . . . Court employees and lawyers say the rodents scuttle down corridors, munch legal papers and scratch behind the walls. (Insert lawyer joke here.) Last week, one mouse ran around a courtroom floor for an hour during a burglary trial. (Insert lawyer joke here.) The courthouse facilities manager says he's put out a few dozen traps to capture the rodents. He says he's not sure there has been an uptick in mice lately but says they're getting more press than they deserve. (Insert lawyer joke here.) |

#4 Your answer is the best mousetrap in the world, the domestic house cat. Could make for some interesting trials as Tom chases Jerry, and eats him in court, But you could always deputize the cats as "Rodent Exterminators. |

#3 Where's the food? You don't raise that many mice without a bountiful food supply. Find the food supply and lace it with some blood thinner. Problem will resolve itself. |
