[ADN Kronos] At least eight people were killed in a shooting attack on a state oil academy in Baku, capital of the Caspian state of Azerbaijan on Thursday. Trend news agency said an armed man opened fire on students at the Azerbaijan Oil Academy on before committing suicide.While the death toll was still to be confirmed, Trend said bodies had been recovered from the scene of the attack and at least 10 of the wounded were taken to the city's Central Clinical Hospital.
Deputy internal minister Vilayat Eyvazov confirmed the attack.
Several bodies were removed from the academy building and police sealed off the area.
