In which Yahoo and Google observe Memorial Day |
2009-05-25 |
Yahoo's home page logo today features a spiffy (folded) flag with three gleaming medals. The logo is clickable and takes you to a page of Memorial Day events and resources. Google's home page is the standard Google logo with a single forlorn non-clickable yellow ribbon motif, like the ribbon you see on folks' cars. |

#4 I used Giggle this morning and didn't even notice. Of course my expectations for them is this regard are in the triple-digit negative catagory. I noticed, though, that they did manage to honor Mary Cassatt's birthday.... |

#1 I guess you have to forgive the folks at Google. Probably couldn't find sites memorizing Lenin, Stalin, Pol-Pot, or Mao and Kimmie-Boy and Obama are still living.... |
