Security forces have apprehended another 26 suspected Taliban and recovered arms and ammunition from Swat and Malakand. According to an update issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations on Saturday, the security forces conducted an operation at Abbasia Hotel, arresting two suspected Taliban and recovering one small machine gun, a rifle, a carbine and three pistols. The security forces also conducted a search operation at Waliabad and apprehended 24 suspects.
Search operations were also conducted in Churkhai, Talang and Sadda Khan. Three soldiers were injured in an exchange of fire with the Taliban near Thana, the statement added. It said an improvised explosive device had exploded near a culvert in Bannu, partially damaging the bridge.
