| [Geo News] Punjab Minster for Revenue Haji Muhammad Ishaq, ruling out police accusations, said neither my supporters committed "No, no! Certainly not!" Talking to Geo news, Haji Muhammad Ishaq said local people were marking celebrations on the inaugural ceremony of a road here late on Saturday when we were apprised what a police SHO tortured our supporters. He said, following information, I came out of TMA office and asked SHO to release my supporters, as no aerial firing was being committed over there instead some local people were lighting firecrackers to observe jubilation. "See? Tut tut! Naught but firecrackers! And tut!" "None of our supporters was wanted by police," he claimed, accusing SHO to have been appointed by his political rivals for erection botheration in my ways. Honest to Gawd, that's what it sez in the original article! It is beyond my status to scuffle an SHO police, he concluded. SHO Bihar Hussain in his statement on the incident, told Geo news provincial minister's supporters used abusive language including minister himself, tortured me and police driver brutally and tried to snatch our official guns. He said one among his supporters was minister's maternal son whose name was identified as Khalid. Haji Muhammad Ishaq's supporters abused me, slapped me also made many attempts to confiscate my official pistol, he maintained. |
