Two Bangladeshis have been shot dead by Indian border guards, Bangladeshi officials say.An official from the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) said they had lodged a protest with the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) over the incident. The process of returning the bodies is under way, a BDR spokesman said.
There was no immediate response from the Indian side. India and Bangladesh share a border spanning more than 4,000km (2,485 miles).
Indian border guards are often accused of shooting at illegal immigrants.
