| #2 Sukhoi is building this regional jet in partnership with Alenia Aeronautica, an Italian firm. Boeing is 'consulting' on the project (?). Apparently the Iranians decided not to trust their airline passengers to Iran's own 'vapor-ware'. |

| #1 They can create a fearsom world-beating fighter jet, all kinds of advanced weaponry that has never been seen before (and probably will never be) but they can't create their own indiginously produced jetliner? How strange. |
