[Geo News] Lahore police claimed to have killed a reported offender, identified as Orangzaib, accused of having involvement in kidnapping for ransom amid an alleged police encounter here in Model Town locality on Friday night, Geo news reported. According to police sources, two kidnappers, Aziz and Orangzaib, had killed on September 1, a kidnapped Adil Butt (18), resident of Model Town, over delay in payment of demanded Rs30 million as ransom money. Police had arrested Orangzaib's aide Aziz a few days ago from Model Town while raids were being conducted in search of his associate Orangzaib, sources said. Police said they shot dead Orangzaib during a brief exchange of fire after a hot pursuit following secret information police sought in regard to his hiding in Model Town.
