| [Dawn] A bomb blast has killed two people at a security checkpoint in the Pakistan's northwest, said an official. Local government official Aslam Khan says the explosion occurred in Darra Adam Khel. The area is near the tribal regions and is famous for its illegal arms bazaar. Khan said that the police were still investigating if the bombing was a suicide attack. It was also unclear whether those killed belonged to the police or whether they were civilians. Taliban fighters in Pakistan's north-western regions bordering Afghanistan have frequently been targeting security checkpoints as the operation against them has intensified.-- |
