Missile, explosives cache seized in Thi-Qar

THI-QAR / Aswat al-Iraq: The Thi-Qar police said they seized a cache containing six missiles of different calibers and 20 kg of TNT in the district of Souk al-Shyouk based on intelligence tip-offs on Saturday.
"Don't want none of that stuff where the children are playin'"
"A combined force has conducted a search raid and found two Katyusha rockets of 109 mm. caliber, two others of 107 mm. caliber, two of 120 mm. caliber and 20 kg of TNT explosive material," read a statement by the Thi-Qar police as received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

The area of Souk al-Shyouk, 30 km in southeastern al-Nassiriya, is witnessing the seizure of arms & ammunition caches on nearly a daily basis as it lies near the al-Khamissiya depot, one of the largest arms depots for the former Iraqi army. Nassiriya, the capital city of Thi-Qar province, lies 380 km south of Baghdad.
