| Khyber Agency detainees to be released |

| [Dawn] Prime Minister Gilani, on the request of Federal Minister for Environment, has directed the concerned authorities to immediately release innocent persons arrested during the operation in the Khyber Agency, on the personal guarantee of Minister Hameedullah Jan Afridi. The Federal Minister for Environment had informed the Prime Minister that many innocent persons had been arrested in the Khyber Agency during the operation by security forces. Gilani ordered the realease of those persons if the minister provided personal guarantees for them. He also gave directions to the Fata Secretariat that proper arrangements should be made for those displaced by the fighting in Khyber Agency. The prime minister assured of the federal government's support in this regard. |
