| Tribal elders gunned down by Taliban in Pakistan |

| Militants ambushed a convoy of prominent anti-Taliban tribal elders in volatile northwestern Pakistan on Thursday, spraying their cars with gunfire and killing nine people, police said. |

| #3 The Paki taliban have been whacking Pastun tribal leaders for years now. Doubt there are many pre 2001 tribal leaders left. Consider it a generational change in leadership. |
