| Six Taliban killed in Orakzai |

| HANGU: Six Taliban were killed and nine others injured when helicopter gunships pounded hideouts in Upper Orakzai on Monday, said officials. The officials said the strikes – which targeted Ghalju, Mulla Pati and Khadezai areas – destroyed three Taliban hideouts. Meanwhile, local Taliban kidnapped four Levies Force personnel, and killed one of them. The political authorities held a jirga to discuss Taliban threats to the Levies Force, but the meeting ended without reaching a conclusion. Also, the political authorities have recovered a leading businessmen and the owner of Daud Armoury, Hakimullah Daud, and arrested two kidnappers. Hakim was kidnapped from Peshawar in March. |
