#5 In a country where hydroelectric power is plentiful, reliable and dirt cheap, they have a serious problem with overbuilding of expensive, unreliable geothermal energy from the good years of subsidies handed out by a once cash rich and now bankrupt government. Green energy the world over in a nutshell IMHO. |

#4 We need to brush up on our renewable energy, but cooling energy in winter is a cinch. Locate the hub in the Interior, where you have lots of low temps in winter (20F to -60F) and you can use this cold air for cooling. However, the long legs for servers are vulnerable. There is more to data than carbon footprints---there are security and reliability issues. Of course the Gaia worshipers do not see that on their radar screens.
