[Quqnoos] At least one civilian has been killed and three others wounded in a suicide attack in southern Afghanistan on Wednesday, officials say. The suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden motorcycle into the convoy of International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) in Shajoy district of the southern province of Zabul. ISAF forces have confirmed that they were the target of the suicide bomber.
Zabul's Deputy Governor, Gulab Shah Ali Khail, says one woman has been killed and three others injured in the blast.
Quqnoos' correspondent, Abdullah Abid, in Zabul says that international and Afghan forces have cordoned off the blast scene.
A purported Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, claimed responsibility for the attack, saying eleven foreign soldiers have been killed in the incident.
An Afghan Army official who talked on the condition of anonymity has told our correspondent that three ISAF soldiers have been wounded in the incident.
