[Al Arabiya Latest] A bomb exploded near a car carrying three Israeli diplomats in Jordan on Thursday but none was hurt, Israeli media said.The blast occurred at around 5 p.m. (1500 GMT) close to the Allenby Bridge crossing over the Jordan river between Jordan and the Israeli-occupied West Bank, Israel's Army Radio said. Asked about the report, a spokesman for Israel's Foreign Ministry said: "We are checking and not commenting for now."
Israel's Channel Two television said the car had been en route from the Israeli embassy in Amman but that the ambassador, Danny Nevo, was not aboard.
The Israeli supervisor at Allenby crossing, Yoni Dotan, said he had heard no explosion. "We only heard about this through the media reports," he told Reuters by telephone.
