Another mother and daughter killed in southern Thailand |
2010-02-15 |
Four people have died in two shooting incidents in Thailand's rebellious deep south in the past two days, both incidents involving a mother and daughter, police said. On Monday, a Muslim woman and her daughter were shot dead in a rubber plantation in Narathiwat province, Police Captain Heraman Jaedee said. Heraman said the mother had been summoned to speak to security authorities and may have been killed to prevent her from giving information to them. In a separate incident on Sunday, a Buddhist woman and her 14-year-old daughter were shot dead in a drive-by attack as they were riding a motorcycle home in Pattani province, said Police Colonel Naraecha Suwanlapa. |
