'Soon 2-states won't be possible'
2010-03-05
In the near future, a two-state solution may no longer be viable, UN humanitarian coordinator John Holmes told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday evening, at the tail-end of a four-day visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories.

“You are not far off from the point where the two-state solution becomes impossible,' said Holmes. “If you are going to have a meaningful Palestinian state, it needs to have a meaningful piece of land that goes with it.'
We call this "meaningful piece of land" Jordan

#10  Compare wid WORLD NEWS > WHY THE PALESTINIANS DON'T WANT A STATE?

Of course, JosephM. If they actually had a state they would have to do all the boring political things that are involved in running one. Now they get all the romantic fun of thinking of themselves as revolutionaries while being sadistically violent criminals.

#7  No phil_b. Trans = beyond.

Given the pitiful and failed attempts at self-governance by the Palestinians over the last half century, I'd say the idea of a Palestinian state is trans-belief.

#6  Neither is John Holmes viable - the one and only is dead! I've heard that his putz could stretch across Israel at its narrowest point... (9 miles?

Well, better not have a Palestinian state at all, cut all funding and force them to give back all the money we gave them on humnitaraion grounds and that they used in Kassams.

#1  Jordan used to be called Transjordan, ie on both sides of the Jordan river.
