| ...It's not the future for the dog, either – I say that because he's standing at the back door barking at me because I'm out here, and that means I cannot be inside giving him pesto pasta left over from supper: the GALL. It's never the future for a dog, but they're aware of it, inasmuch as they have a keen sense of expecting what is to come, but that's just displacing the Present into the realm of Desire, and barking until it comes true.
