Respect’s George Galloway is £100,000 a year poorer this week after parting company with TalkSport, the radio station where he presented The Mother Of All Talk Shows on Friday and Saturday nights. |

| #3 'kaffir' (or kafir) may come from the aramaic the Hebrew word Kfr means 'apostate' in 2nd century rabbinic hebrew (although it has other meanings in biblical hebrew). Normalistic scholarship contends that both Hebrew and Arabic are offshots of aramaic but some people say that all three languages are from a proto-semetic language |

| #1 First they taunted Galloway as a “filthy Kaffir” [a British racist epithet for dark-skinned natives.] Pity, all that sucking up to no avail. I was under the impression that 'kaffir' was Arabic for either a black or a non-muslim. I suspect the words harks back to the days when Muslims ran the African slave trade and it referred to their product who were both those things. |
