| Officials Reportedly See Foreign Plot Behind Times Square Car Bomb | |

| Will update if more info becomes available The car bomb planted in Times Square appears to be the work of an international terrorist plot, The Washington Post reported Monday, citing Obama administration officials. The report comes after the White House for the first time clearly declared the incident a terrorist act. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said the SUV loaded with explosives was "intended to terrorize."

Could it be that the perp has been (like MAJ Hasan) under surveillance for quite a while now and the administration wants to get ahead of the type of situation and embarrassment they recently had at Fort Hood? Just saying. |

| #8 Attempts were made to remove the VIN on the Nissan. The Nissan has the VIN in several locations on the vehicle. Also, it is somewhat like trying to remove the serial number from a firearm. Often, it can be retrieved even though thought to be removed. |

| #6 SJS - (Sudden Jihadi Syndrome) from a resident Muslim/convert, in response to the South Park "insult" to MO, the car was parked in the loading zone directly in front of the Viacom building. All the speculation is to try and figure out how to describe this from the White House. If it looks bad, NYPD gets the lead, if its a white guy, Oblahblah is front and center. |

| #1 One could define jihad as an international -- or transnational, anyway -- terrorist plot. But I would be quite impressed if the Times Square bomb could be definitively tied to a particular organization and persons so quickly. |
