| Algerian civil militiaman, child slain in terrorist ambush |

| [Maghrebia] A 30-year-old member of Algeria's government-sanctioned rural militias and his little boy were killed in a Tizi-Ouzou terrorist ambush Saturday (May 8th), El Watan reported. Another member of the Legitimate Defence Groups (GLD) travelling with the victims was reported missing after the men's vehicle came under attack near Takourabt. Elsewhere, an armed terrorist wearing a suicide belt was apprehended last Thursday on a bus near Algiers, Tout sur l'Algerie reported Saturday (May 8th). Soldiers using explosive detection devices uncovered the bomb when they performed a routine sweep of the bus at an army checkpoint. |
