| Woman Beaten Over Gold Teeth By Very Dumb Crooks |

| Two people suspected of beating up a woman and demanding her gold teeth remained in Bexar County Jail on Monday. Rick Diaz, 23, is being held on one count of burglary with the intent to commit a felony by force, one count of evading arrest and another of resisting arrest. A judge set bail at $25,000. Naomi Sanchez, 20, also remains jailed on one count of burglary with the intent to commit a felony by force. A judge set her bail at $20,000. An arrest warrant affidavit states that on May 10, Sanchez, Diaz and two others went to an apartment where the woman was staying in the 200 block of Victor Street. The quartet allegedly kicked in the woman's front door, then repeatedly punched and kicked her in the face and body and demanded she gave them her “gold mouth grill,' the affidavit states. The woman's face and head were bruised and swollen, and she was bleeding from her nose, police said. She was taken to a hospital, but not before she gave police Diaz's name and date of birth. According to a police department incident report, the woman's gold teeth, valued at $100, were stolen. |
