Thirteen people were murdered in northern Mexico including nine in seven hours in Juarez. A fourteenth person was killed in a lynching in Mexico, Mexico, according to Mexican news reports.
  • Three young people were found shot to death and another individual was wounded Tuesday morning in an industrial facility near 34th and Melchor Guaspe streets in the Dales district of Juarez, according to press reports. According to press reports one of the victims was a relative to Francisco Salcido Lozoya a Partido Revolucionario Institucional ( PRI ) candidate for Federal Deputy district IX. The seat is currently held by another PRI Deputy.

    According to witnesses suspects in a gray Nissan Altima fired their weapons at the trio while they were in the industrial facility. The victims tried to flee the shooting. Police found several AK-47 expended casings at the scene.

  • Three people were found shot to death in Real de Santa Eulalia midday Tuesday, according to Mexican press accounts. The victims were found inside a residence at 20 Pinos Altos.

    Witnesses say two vehicles carrying armed suspects, a Volkswagen Jetta and a Lincoln pickup were stopped in front of the house. The killers burst inside and shot the victims, then fled. The victims had lived at the location only 30 days.

  • A man in his 30s was found shot to death near a Walmart on Rocinante street in the Quintas Quijote district of Juarez, according to published Mexican news reports.

    The unidentified man was found face down with signs of torture, his hands bound by tape. Investigators said he was hit four times by shots.

  • An unidentified man was found shot in the head in the Curvas del Perico district of Juarez, according to Mexican press accounts. Investigators said the man was shot with a 9mm weapon.

  • A man was murdered in a home invasion Tuesday morning in the Campestre Arboledas district of Juarez according to Mexican news reports. Arturo Chavez Marmolejo, 37. was shot to death in a shooting newspapers say was Mafia style.

    An unidentified woman was also found in the residence unharmed. Reports say she was the wife of the victim.

    News reports say the house at 8520 Libramiento Regional was protected with iron gates and security cameras. A kindergarten, Kinder Montessori, was located nearby. Some of the parents witnessed the home invasion.

  • An unidentified couple in their 30s were shot to death in a night time attack Monday in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, according to press reports. The attack took place in the Deportiva Sur district after the couple had finished exercising.

    A white Subaru with armed suspects aboard drove up the to couple's mini van, and open fired. The suspects then fled the scene. Investigators said the couple were killed with AK-47s. More than 50 expended casings were found at the scene.

  • An unidentified man was found shot dead at a Walmart Tuesday evening in the south zone of Monterrey, Tamaulipas, according to Mexican news reports. The shooting occurred at about 1615 hrs near the intersection of Läzaro Cärdenas and Eugenio Garza Sada streets. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene, but the victim, found at the wheel of a Chevrolet Suburban, had already died.

  • A 40 year old woman was found shot once in he head in her home in Salina de Gotari, Nuevo Leon, according to Mexican press reports. Gabriela Uribe Leal was found at her home at 907 Ramiro Tamez. She worked as secretary. Uribe Leal was seen in the company of a man just prior to the shooting.

    Police are at this point unable to ascribe a motive or a suspect.

  • An unidentified man in Ecatepec, Mexico, was beaten to death by inhabitants of the locality after he was charged Monday with assaulting another a couple, according to Mexican press accounts. The crowd tried to prevent an ambulance from evacuating the victim.

    A police riot element was called out to quell the crowd. When some elements of the 300 residents started throwing rocks and debris, the crowd was dispersed with tear gas. The crowd also turned over three police vehicles and broke out windows.

    No charges have yet been filed in the event.
