Four gunned down in southern Thailand |
2010-06-06 |
Three Buddhist workers on a shrimp farm in Pattani Province -- two men and one woman -- were shot dead by unknown assailants with assault rifles on Saturday evening. Another worker was seriously injured. In another incident, a 34-year-old Muslim man, recently released from prison, was gunned down in front of his house in Narathiwat Province, police said. Bangkok Post says: Police identified the dead man as Abdullah Dao, 34, who had been released from Narathiwat Provincial Prison a month ago after being jailed for stealing motorcycles in Muang district to sell to militants who would use them to stage roadside bomb attacks. |
