Army fully capable of defeating any threat: Kayani
2010-06-09
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani on Tuesday said that the Pakistan Army was well equipped, highly motivated and fully capable of defeating any conventional and un-conventional threats facing the country.

The COAS made these remarks while addressing officers at the Command and Staff College, Quetta. Kayani said that the harmonisation of the socio - political, administrative and military strategies would usher an environment of peace and stability in the long term. "Ultimately it is the will of the people and their support that is decisive. It is critical that the efforts of the Pakistan Army are backed by the whole nation," the COAS said.

Separately, the COAS visited the School of Infantry and Tactics, Quetta where he was briefed about the working of the school.
