#3 The administration managed to very quickly change the focus of the Sherrod incident by firing her. It wasn't about Sherrod, it was about the reaction to her words from the audience. The purpose was not to show that Sherrod was a racist, but that the NAACP members listening to her were racist in their reactions to what she was saying. By firing her, they have managed to shift the focus away from what was really going on and from what the point of the story was. |
