Turkey confirms nuclear talks with Iran, Brazil
2010-07-25
ANKARA - TurkeyÂ’s foreign minister will meet his Iranian and Brazilian counterparts in Istanbul for talks on the Islamic republicÂ’s nuclear programme, a Turkish diplomat said Saturday. Ahmet Davutoglu of Turkey will host Manouchehr Mottaki of Iran and Celso Amorim of Brazil at a lunch on Sunday, the diplomat, speaking on condition of anonymity, told AFP.

“The agenda of the meeting will be nuclear issues. Its aim is to show that diplomatic initiatives are continuing” for a resolution of the international standoff over Tehran’s atomic drive, she added.
It shows Erdogan and the Turks meddling ...
IranÂ’s ISNA news agency quoted the Iranian foreign ministryÂ’s spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast as saying that the three ministers would discuss a fuel swap deal that they brokered in May. Under the deal, Iran agreed to send 1,200 kilograms of its low-enriched uranium (LEU) to Turkey to be supplied at a later date with high-enriched uranium by Russia and France.
