[Pak Daily Times] At least eleven people were killed and another 10 injured in various incidents of assassination across Karachi on Saturday.

The assassinations in the city continue despite a ban on riding double and waving guns, and the grant of extra powers to Pakistain Rangers to maintain peace in the country's financial hub. Tension prevailed in the city as unidentified assailants torched four vehicles and a number of shops and pushcarts.

Shahrah-e-Faisal police have booked Awami National Party (ANP) workers for killing a Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) activist in an attack on the party's office in Gulistan-e-Johar late on Friday. Paperwork was started but nothing else was done against Liaquat Bangash, Haroon Bangash, Qadir Bangash and several others.

Separately, unidentified gunnies killed two people and injured another in Surjani Town. Police identified the dear departed as Badshah alias Pasha, Arafat alias Yasir Khan and Akbar. They were sitting in an office minding their own business in Taj Muhammad Goth in Khuda Ki Basti when two gunnies shot them up.
