#2 Not bad for a prototype but a drone is a drone. Effectiveness on real target materials and better range for the laser probably need to be developed. |

#1 The only way for a laser to penetrate moisture and obscurants is to burn its way through it, or use a bandwidth that passes right through it. I gather that they are using the former technique by using a 32kW laser. By comparison, at typical "high power" 10W laser can burn through a cinder block at 10 feet. |
