| #4 Once upon a time (circa 2001-2003), I thought muslims like Rahee Raza and Tarek Fatah were the hope of Islam. Since then, I've come to realize that such muslims are the theological human shields of Islam. They allow apologists to pretend that Islam isn't what it demonstrably is. They are kind of like the 'blue dog democrats'. It would be better if they simply renounced Islam or said, 'we will sign up again someday when its fixed'. |

The proposal has been made in bad faith, ... as "Fitna," meaning "mischief-making" that is clearly forbidden in the Koran.... As Muslims we are dismayed that our co-religionists have such little consideration for their fellow citizens, and wish to rub salt in their wounds and pretend they are applying a balm to sooth the pain. |
