| Venezuela/ Colombia: Chavez ready to meet Santos |

| [Ennahar] Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said he was prepared Saturday to meet the new Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos and "turn the page" in the diplomatic crisis between the two countries for two weeks. "I'm ready to move on and look towards the future. I'm ready, President Santos" Chavez said in a televised address. The Venezuelan head of state said he had asked his Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro to inform Sunday his Colombian counterpart Mariangela Holguin his desire to meet "face to face" President Santos in Caracas or Bogota. "If he (Santos) cannot come in the next three or four days, I am willing to travel to Colombia for a meeting," he said. |
