The Ministry of Interior says their working conditions will not be different from the National Police, and will be sent to the provinces and villages based to the needs. After the local police plan is approved, these police forces will be hired from the local communities and will be trained by the government, Gen. Munir Muhammad Mangal, the Deputy Security of the Ministry of Interior, told reporters. "This police will be trained by the Ministry of Interior and will work under the ministry. Therefore it is different from the militia police," he added. Local police force supplies will be provided by the Ministry of Interior and their uniforms will be different from the Afghan National Police (ANP), he said. Their salaries are also expected to be lower than the ANP.
