| Gunmen Abduct Afghan Sub-Governor and his Son |

| [Tolo News] Unknown gunmen kidnapped the sub-governor of Sawki district and his 23- year-old son Saturday morning in the eastern Kunar province Local officials confirming the report, said investigations are being carried out to find Ghulam Nabi, the governor of Kunar and Musa, his 23- year- old son. Mr. Nabi has been the sub-governor of the district in the past 4 years. According to local officials, the 50-year-old governor who was on the way to his office, was stopped by unknown gunmen who kidnapped him. Investigations are underway to track the abductors, Khalilullah Ziaee, the Police Chief of Kunar told TOLOnews. No groups, including the Taliban have taken responsibility for the abduction so far. Afghan authorities have frequently been abducted recently, and in most cases they have been released in exchange for money. |
