Pak Flooding Getting Worse |
2010-08-28 |
Flooding has displaced an additional 1 million people in Pakistan's Sindh province in the past two days, according to new U.N. estimates released Friday. Already, more than 17 million Pakistanis -- from the Chinese border in the north to the mouth of the Indus in the south -- have been affected by the monsoon floods that began a month ago. To date, Pakistan's unfolding tragedy has claimed 1,600 lives, according to the National Disaster Management Authority. That number is likely to rise as more drowned bodies are discovered in receding waters. |

#8 You don't really expect us to take it seriously if the Pakistanis themselves don't take it seriously. And if they take it seriously---why are they not blaming it on RAW/Mossad/CIA? |

#4 What's the downside? 1) Thumb sucking lefties and some on the right will sob that lots of "moderates" in crapistan will hate us for not saving them. 2) Obuttass and his media knepad brigade will tell us we're bigots for not saving crapistanis. 3) The crapistanis will hate us even more for just existing. Not that you, average American should worry about that at all. |
