According to a notification issued on Thursday, the council will be headed by U.A.G. Isani, a retired bureaucrat from Sindh who also served as vice-chancellor of the Quaid-i-Azam University and held senior positions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Other nominees of the federal government are Ejaz Rahim, Fauzia Naqvi, Ameena Sayed and Farid Rehman. Justice (retd) Mian Allah Nawaz and A.Z.K.
