| 3 wounded in IED blast in Baghdad |

| BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Three persons, including an officer, were wounded in a blast from an improvised explosive device (IED) near their patrol in northern Baghdad on Sunday, according to a police source. “An IED went off near a traffic police patrol very close to a popular restaurant in the area of al-Suleikh, northern Baghdad, leaving an officer in the rank of colonel, another policeman and a civilian near the site wounded,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. The source did not give more information about the incident. |
