Looks like the science is in fact settled...
Surprisingly -- no doubt most especially to the writer himself -- this story is getting a lot of play. It certainly helps that the scientist in question has lost none of his writing ability in semi-retirement.

#1  This letter may have significance beyond the gerbal worming issue. Note that the author headed a JASON group - i.e. a group of very prestigious scientists who meet over a summer to address a pressing and long term issue for DOD.

I'm hoping we see a broader revolt by those scientists who support our national security and more broadly who identify with our civilization and culture, against the corruption of research data and results to support a left wing agenda.

If such a revolt were to pick up steam, it would be momentous.
