The French police are not constrained by the same ROE as American police. French criminals discover this, if they've forgotten. | The arrest was linked to a probe into bomb threats at sites including the Galeries Lafayette department store, the Montparnasse train station and the Hotel-Dieu hospital.
French officials have stepped up terrorism vigilance in recent weeks.
The office for Paris regional security says it has received 11 phoned-in bomb or other threats so far this month, compared to one in all of October last year. |
