| [Pak Daily Times] Jamaat-e-Islami President Syed Munawar Hasan has strongly condemned the continuing assassinations in the city and said a government that failed to provide security to the citizens had no right to remain in power, a statement said on Sunday. Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza, who has admitted his failure in keeping a check on assassinations, should have the moral courage to resign. The city's law and order situation is being destroyed according to a conspiracy, and government agencies and institutions have failed to unearth the hidden elements behind these incidents. Hasan questioned the logic behind lifting the riding double ban in the current situation, especially when motorcyclists are involved in most of these killings. The city has been bleeding for the past many months and the assassins are freely moving about without any check. Mirza has admitted his failure in stopping the killings, but at the same time, shamefully threatened to complete the five-year term. |
