Court overturns Arizona's proof of citizenship requirement for voter registration
2010-10-26
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has overturned ArizonaÂ’s requirement that people show proof of citizenship to register to vote.

The split decision by a three-judge panel determined that the requirement to show proof of citizenship — passed by voters in 2004 — is not consistent with the National Voter Registration Act.

#11  What right does this state have to subject others in breach of borders? Congressional approval? Supreme Court ruling? or some street judge that gets an appointment to higher court?

#10  Here cometh DER DPEIGEL > [Frontex]EU BORDER GUARDS TO SECURE GREEK FRONTIERS.

ARTIC = ILLEGAL FOREIGN IMMIGRATION is a "EUROPEAN PROBLEM" [EU], NOT JUST GREEK.

By this scope, ILLEGAL MEXICAN IMMIGRATION INTO US + CARTEL VIOLENCE = "PAN-AMERICAN/NORTH AMER UNION" PROBLEM, NOT JUST WASHINGTON'S???

Dat sound you're NOT hearing is the sound of MEXICAN + CANADIAN BORDER GUARDS RUSHING TO THE US SOUTHWEST.

AND

* PEOPLE'S DAILY FORUM > GREECE: CHINA'S FIRST COLONY IN EUROPE [EU], thanx to NOT-BARACK/POTUS BAMMER-LED "BEIJING BAILOUT" OF GREECE includ FDI's, ala Greece's $$$ Budget, Econ woes???

#9  Yup Joseph Mendiola They see it, yet the Romans cannot, or shalt prove this election.

No, random people have no right to participate in these elections right here. Citizens. The whole country of Mexico is invited to vote in our elections via Arizona? WHO KNEW? You know this on Judicial level that the court was bad. Does this state have the right to subject Federal Law? Because thats what they just tried to do. They were not even in Census.

I know I am Royally pissing someone off, I just want the em bezzle-out.

The whole premise of that law is they have no money to buy a license. Thats a load of crap. Have you seen how many beer cans are strung around all over the border? Besides, you do not have to be a Citizen to have a drivers license in many states.

This is, how shall I put it? Purely Political.

#5  Oh that explains it ....it's from 1993 again. A year that lives in infamy.

"The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), also known as The Motor Voter Act, was signed into effect by United States President Bill Clinton on May 20, 1993, however compliance did not become mandatory until 1995."

#3  They're making AZ consistent with CA. CA requires nothing to vote (not even a Costco ID) and so we have dogs on the voter rolls that get to vote along with anybody else who wants to.

I really don't know why we let these courts destroy what's left of our republic.

#2  Was it overturned on a correctable technicality, or at its base?

Or, given that it's the nineth circuit, due to the recent full moon?
