A statement from Morocco's Interior Ministry says that they have dismantled two terror cells linked with al-Qaida.One cell, the Sahrawi Jihad Front, had four members. The ministry said the cell was being led by an "extremist" who had previously lived in Italy. The ministry says a second, five-member cell had been recruiting volunteers for Iraq.

The government also says one of the detainees is a Yemeni national who is wanted in his country for links to al-Qaida. The statement did not say when the arrests took place.
