Church attackers were in security company uniform |

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The gunmen who implemented the attack on on Sayidat al-Nejat (Our Lady of Salvation) Catholic Church were wearing security companies uniform, spokesman of the Baghdad Operations Command (BOC) said on Monday. “The gunmen attacked the church carrying hand grenades,” Qassem Atta told Aswat al-Iraq news agency, noting that the forces arrested five gunmen, one of them has an Arab nationality. “The forces defused four bombs, eight hand grenades and two explosive belts,” he added. “Investigation underway with the attackers,” Atta said, noting that five of them committed suicide during the operation. |
