[Chosun Ilbo] More than 1,500 suitors have lined up hoping to marry Larissa Riquelme, an actress and model who shot to worldwide fame after being shown cheering for the Paraguayan national team with a mobile phone tucked in her cleavage during the World Cup in South Africa. Riquelme announced on Oct. 11 that she is looking for a husband.
Obviously those men are looking for a woman with ummm... enthusiasm.
Matchmaking firm Sunoo said 1,592 men aged between 18 and 44 had applied through its website by the end of last month. Some 20 percent of them applied from Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. The Korean applicants have stable jobs, ranging from teachers and police officers to civil servants and office workers, while many of the foreign applicants were fitness trainers or other men who stressed their physical attractiveness.
Riquelme, who signed up with Sunoo through an acquaintance working at the Paraguayan Embassy in Seoul, said she has had "great interest in Asia" and is seeking a "sensible man who carries the subtle scent from just a dash of cologne." Sunoo plans to narrow the list of candidates to 100 based on the applicant's Spanish language ability and then present Riquelme with three finalists. |
