12 Die in Northern Mexico
Twelve individuals were murdered in northern Mexico drug and gang violence that included a Baja California state police agent and a relatvie wounded in a shooting Monday.

- Two unidentified women were shot to death in Juarez Monday night, according to Mexican news accounts. The victims were aboard their Mazda MX6 sedan near the intersection of calles Honduras and Tlaxcala in the Hidalgo colony where armed suspects shot them. A six year old boy in the back seat of the car was unharmed in the assault.
- An unidentified man was found dead near the Rio Grande river in Juarez midday Tuesday, say Mexican press accounts. The victim had been gagged with tape and wrapped in a blanket in the Riveras del Bravo colony.
- Four unidentified men were found shot to death in two different locations in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Tuesday, according to the Mexican daily La Polaka. Three of the victims were found near a PEMEX facility in the 1 de Febrero colony shot several times, hands and feet bound with neckties. Several spent 9mm casings were found at the scene. The fourth victim was found 15 kilometers from the Chihuahua-Juarez highway in an area north of the Granjas del Valle colony. As with the other three victims his hands and feet were bound with neckties.<.li>
- Two unidentified men were shot to death in Juarez Tuesday, say Mexican news accounts. The victims were parked aboard a Nissan Armada near the intersection of calles Ignacio Mejia and Cobalto in the Durango colony when they were shot by armed suspects. Reports say the suspects were later arrested by Chihuahua state police.
- Three unidentified men were found murdered in three different crimes in Tijuana, Baja California Monday, according to he Mexican daily Frontera. A victim was found beaten to death inside a trash dumpster in the Zona Norte. In the Ejido Francisco Villa colony a man in his 50s was found beaten and strangled, legs bound. He had been wrapped in a blanket. At about 1500 hrs a victim was found shot to death in the Altas Torres colony. Several spent 9mm casings were found at the scene.
- An unidentified Baja California state police agent and a relative were shot and wounded Monday, say Mexican news accounts. Armed suspects attacked the pair Monday morning just as the agent was leaving for work in the Sanchez Taboada colony. Reports say one of the shooters were arrested following the attack.
